Finally installed the windshield gasket. This should help keep rain out when I close the windshield. It was a difficult thing to install, which is why I waited so long to do it.

The vacuum wiper for my 1930 Model A never worked properly. A few years ago, I took it apart and lubricated it, however it only marginally improved its performance. A picked up a box full of old wiper motors from a friend of mine. After ripping a few apart, I identified one that seemed to be in good enough condition to repair. After cleaning the parts and lubricating them with some Lucas oil, I managed to get one that works quite well. Now I will be prepared for a trip to Orillia on Sunday as the weather prediction is for heavy showers.
I just love old maps. Recently I purchased a few old road maps from eBay. These are from the late 1920s and early 1930s.
For well over a year, I have been hearing this squeaking sound coming from the generator area. I thought maybe it needed a bit of oil, but that never solved the noise problem. While on the tour last weekend, the noise got louder. It turned out that my pulley was coming apart. I have since ordered and installed a new one, and now that noise is completely gone.
After going on the tour this past weekend, I finished adding the final touches to the Model A. Got my clock fixed and I got a set of vases and a rear blind to add a touch of class to the old girl.
After spending two nights in Gannonaque, we stopped off in Kingston to check out the Penitentary Museum. This place sure was an eye opener. After that we went to the Wapoos Winery before ending up in Trenton.
Today we toured some of the Thousand Islands including a stop at Heart Island where Boldt Castle is. It is amazing how much restoration work has occurred in recent years. Quite an impressive place.
After our boat tour, Trish and I took Veronica out for a short drive along the Thousand Islands Parkway. What a beautiful drive. By hook and by crook, we made it in time to participate in our club chapter's tour to the Thousand Islands. Here is Veronica parked outside my friends house just before the tour began.
Veronica lives! She is almost completely put together now. Just a few minor cosmetic things to do, but she runs and seems fit for tomorrow's 4 day tour. With the help of my friend Tom, and my wife Trish, we even got the interior installed. At 9:30, I dumped in some gas and cranked the old girl up. She started on the first crank. Beautiful!
