The cloth wiring arrived. This stuff is tinsel wiring. It is a bit of a pain to work with. The individual strands of wire are wrapped around a cloth core as well. This was used quite a bit in the early 20th century for phone circuits and headphone leads etc. I have to figure out how they kept the ends neat and from unravelling. I could use shrink wrap, but that would take away from the authentic look.
Got a replacement escutcheon for the handle. I did a quick tin plating using liquid tin, but as you can see, that doesn't quite look right. I will give it a good nickel plate once my nickel electrodes arrive.
