Unfortunately (or fortunately), it also came with 2 Centuri rocket motors. The problem with those is the mail doesn't like to ship those across the border. The first time it was shipped, it was turned around and ended up with the seller. I asked the seller to remove them and try again. Strangely enough, he just reshipped them as is. Fortunately this time it went through. I got it today via FedEx. Not sure if that made a difference or not.
I wanted to buy the Centuri Powr Pad, the same sort of launch pad that I had as a kid, for quite awhile. They don't show up to often on eBay, but when they do, they usually go for a ridiculous amount or are missing parts. Back in April, I lucked out and won a Eagle Power Flying Model Rocket 3501 kit (without the rocket) for $60.00. It came with an unbuilt Centuri Powr Pad and some other odds and ends. Cleaned up surface of the new workbench, routed the edge and applied the urethane. Once it is dried it will be ready for use. It is slowly coming together.
Today we moved some of my lumber into the loft. I had this lifting beam installed similar to what you see in houses in Amsterdam. It worked great. We got most of the big stuff in. Still some smaller stuff to move, but that's for another day. The reason we had to stop was because a wind storm came through. It blew the crown of the neighbors tree off. We figured at that point we should call it a day.
Final work on the shed is complete. The flip up stairs latching mechanism and safety lock is now installed. This evening I started moving in my power tools and such. The table saw, band saw and other big tools were moved over from my garage.
A week or so the chimney was installed, so the forge table was moved over and the vent connected up. Basically the building has been turned over to me, and the rest is my doing. First off I will need to build a work bench and install pegboard etc., much like I did in my garage 10 years ago. |
