2102 SRAM Tester
2102 SRAM Tester Needed
I have a RAM tester for most every type of vintage RAM except the venerable 2102 static RAM that is used in many early computers such as the MIL Mod 8 and many S-100 systems. Unfortunately the person who developed the tester was not interested in adding the capability of testing 2102's so I had to look elsewhere to figure out how to do this. I came across Martin Lukasek's "Simple Arduino SRAM tester" at www.8bity.cz/2013/jednoduchy-arduino-test-sram-mhb2102a-a-mm1101a/.
SRAM Tester Shield
Martin's SRAM tester was just made on the fly using a proto-board and a ZIF socket. I re-created his design and downloaded his software to try it out. It worked so well, I thought I would have a few PCBs made up so I didn't have to assemble this mess of wires every time I needed to test some RAM.
